Never Boring

It appears that life is never boring. For those of you who don't live around these parts, we were awakened this morning around 5:35 a.m. by an earthquake! It is my first earthquake! Well, my mom says there was one when I was a baby, but I don't remember it. Ben came running into our room as our bed was shaking. It was a very uneasy feeling. My first thoughts jumped to the fact that there must have been an explosion. I remember the Hollywood Candy Factory in Centralia catching on fire and exploding. The windows at my Aunt Beth and Uncle Wayne's house rattled and the house shook. That was the first thought that popped into my head. They say it was a 5.4 on the rector scale, and it started in Southern Illinois. I can promise you that life at school won't be normal today! We pray there is no aftershock! That would not be fun in a classroom! We thank God that it looks like no one was hurt by this!

We felt it here in the Chicago suburbs, though it was 4:37 am. We are close enough to railroad crossing and to O'Hare that I just assumed it was a low flying plane or something. I thought nothing of it.

I remember a number of years ago, when Julie Sandor/Wilder was living in the St. Louis area that they were predicting a huge earthquake that never materialized.

Same here Kristy only I didn't feel!!! Everyone at school did! My World History Teacher even said that her dog and cat were meowing and barking!! Mom said there was an aftershock here at 11:15! At I was at lunch and paid no attention to it! So i missed out AGAIN! But kids at school talked about that! So did the Today Show! And Nightly News on NBC! But my other grandparent only lived 60 miles away from the epicenter! Mom(i think) is talking to them right now!! Well I'm sure I'll never forget this! You haven't been going to my blog often any more! I added new songs and posts!
